Created in 2017 from a shared passion for STEM education, PLUS-side Learning was founded by Dachele Miller, a seasoned educator, and Melvin Miller, a senior software engineer. Together, they envisioned a program where students could bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications through engaging and creative activities.
Starting with just six students, PLUS-side Learning has blossomed into a thriving program serving over 100 students. Mrs. Miller's dedication to fostering a love of learning, coupled with Mr. Miller's expertise in technology, has fueled the creation of diverse S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programs.
In 2019, PLUS-side Learning forged a valuable partnership with Imhotep Academy, enabling us to provide comprehensive after-school services to their students. Through this collaboration, PLUS-side Learning now proudly manages most of the extracurricular activities for the school.
PLUS-side Learning's journey is a testament to the power of combining educational expertise with an innovative spirit. We are committed to empowering students to explore the exciting world of S.T.E.A.M. and beyond!
